Map of Cenderawasih Bay National Park (photo: TNTC ) Located in Teluk Wondama Regency and Nabire Regency , Cenderawasih Bay National Park area has a diversity of ecosystems ranging from tropical land/island ecosystems, mangrove ecosystems, coastal forest ecosystems, seagrass ecosystems to coral reef ecosystems. In primary forest vegetation, there are Vatica papuana, Pimeliodendron amboinicum, Baccaurea, Canarium indicum, Litsea sp, Zyzygium verstegi, Myristica cimifera, Garcinia dulcis, Nephentes spp, and grasslands. In coastal forest there are mangroves (Avicennia, sp, Rhizopora, sp, Bruguier asp, Baringtonia sp, Soneratia sp), Nypa fructicans, Metroxilon sago, Pandanus sp, Casuarina equisetifolia, Terminalia catappa, Eugenia sp, Callophylum sp, Hybiscus sp, Ceriops sp, Cylocapus sp, Lumnitzera sp, Ipmea pecapre, Phempis aidula, Widelia biflora, Scaevala tericca and Cyperaceae species as well as the types of orchids Dendrobium sp.
